The Tarpon fishing in the Pine Island area has been excellent this April. There is a lot of fish in Pine Island Sound as well as Charlotte Harbor. We have been getting lots of shots daily. Two or three times a day the fish seem to turn on and eat really well. We have mainly been concentrating on fly fishing. There is nothing better than sight fishing and watching a huge Tarpon come up and suck in the fly! The fishing should just continue to get better with the big numbers of fish that show up in the beginning of May.
