The Summer Tarpon fishing in Southwest Florida has been excellent this summer. Early mornings have been the best with the heat of the summer. Most morning the conditions are nice and calm perfect for rolling Tarpon. There have been lots of fish in Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande, and Pine Island Sound. I have been using swimbaits and flies and the fish have been super aggressive. On the really good days we have jumped up to 10 Tarpon. The majority of the fish have been in the 40 to 80 pound range which is such a fun size. With the weather being super hot we are usually back at the dock before noon. The fishing should be awesome all the way through fall!
