Captain Gary is a seasoned fishing guide with a lifetime of experience navigating the pristine waters of Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island. Growing up in beautiful SWFL, he developed a deep connection to our local environment, learning the art of fishing from an early age. With countless hours on the water, Captain Gary has honed his skills and knowledge, allowing him to consistently target some of the areas most priced fish!

The Boat & Gear
Westside Fishing Charters offers an exceptional experience aboard our Maverick 18-foot flats skiff, designed to access the best shallow water flats and backcountry areas. This boat provides a smooth, dry, and comfortable ride, allowing us to approach fish silently so they remain unaware of our presence until you’re ready to cast. Ideal for 1 to 2 anglers, our trips offer the flexibility of fishing solo from the bow or side-by-side when targeting mangroves.
We provide all the necessary gear for your trip, including top-of-the-line rods and reels perfectly suited for the diverse fishing opportunities we’ll encounter. All flies are hand-tied by me, and the best bait and lures are supplied to ensure a successful outing. If you prefer to use your own gear, you're more than welcome to bring it along.
